The CRM and the Mandated Communication Standard

✦ Click any bullet point or select text for an AI explanation

To receive the full support of the organization (technical sales, legal, and executive sponsorship), a salesperson must communicate their progress transparently. The CRM is our primary communication tool.

The Rule of Documentation:

  • Every Single Call: Every interaction—whether a 30-second voicemail or an hour-long discovery session—must be logged in the CRM immediately.
  • Accuracy: Notes must be detailed enough that a colleague could step in and understand the exact state of the deal without asking you for a debrief.
  • The "If/Then" Clause: If an activity is not logged in the CRM, it did not happen. Performance is measured by data, not by memory or "gut feeling."
